Selectors for new elements of footer
I used /* Twitter */ #veohPage+div #footer-twitter, #veohPage+*+div #footer-twitter{ } for Twitter and /* Preferences */ #veohPage+div li.last:last-child span, #veohPage+*+div li.last:last-child span{ } for Preferences and /* Language: */ #veohPage+div li.last:last-child li span, #veohPage+*+div li.last:last-child li span{ } I am still trying to find a selector for the rest of the new elements.
Reply to this TopicSelectors still needed are for /* Feedback */ { } /* Language Drop Down and Arrow */ { } /* Family Filter: */ { } /* Family Filter On-Off */ { }
#veohPage + div li.footer-watch + li li:first-child+li+li+li a {color: cyan;} * this is feedback for Firefox. For IE may be: #veohPage + * + div li.footer-watch + li li:first-child+li+li+li a
#veohPage + div li.footer-watch + li + li + li li:first-child a **** I didn't list this earlier! This seems to work in Firefox for the language set next to "languages". I haven't checked for IE yet.
#veohPage + div li.last:last-child ul li {color: purple;} * this is Family Filter code for Firefox, and this is family filter on/off * #veohPage + div li.footer-watch + li + li + li li:first-child+li a {color: aquamarine;}
I'll try to update the selectors for IE tomorrow night and also make a separate web page with the whole footer laid out in text, unless someone else wants to first.
I've updated all footer selectors. See http://chemera.coolpage.biz/text/footer_css.txt
THX Shisho and Chemera. I hope that veoh considers my idea that I posted today in feedback about adding some extra elements in the css for users to use in there css so that we don't need to use elements that are used for something else.
You should not use ":last-child" yet now, because ":last-child" does not work on IE. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc351024(VS.85).aspx about CSS Compatibility of IE.
THX again Chemera I ended up using the selectors from your updated list. They worked very well. I did have to set font height and size to 1px in the Family Filter to get rid of the on/off however.
