well not sure if this was already post (2 lazy 2 look for it) but if ur interesed in doing animated bgs/banners u can use GIMP to do animated pics.

Just wondering how do you use GIMP to make animations? (dumb question.. I know lol) I used to use GIMP for a couple days then I got photoshop cs3 xP

Unfortunetly i dont have CS3 lol.. 2 expensive (havent been able to get the crack version) anyways, once ur done puttin all ur pics(bg plus layers) in GIMP save the image using .gif (maybe u can use some other format for animated pics but i havent try that yet) select 'save as animation' and it'll prompt u trough a couple of settings (just 2) so u can set the frames/sec and that stuff save it and then use whatever u have to view the animation.
