So I needed to fix the thumbnail somehow to show what it was. I ran some tests; thumbnails are not randomly selected, it looks like the system selects high-priority frames from your video and puts up the highest one.
If you look at my vids there, I found the intro thingie I made (the chalkboard) had a high priority so I put the title on it. For some reason in ep 2 this random frame from the ep took over, I guess it was higher than my chalkboard. But thats just once out of five times it hasn't worked. In ep 1, my tag took priority over the chalkboard, so I edited the tag in Sony vegas movie maker with the anime name and episode number, and it showed up on the thumbnail.
What sucks is I don't know how priority is determined. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with timing or place in the vid. So if you wanted to fix your thumbnails with a title, you have to find a high priority frame, as in a tag like mine or the chalkboard, then you can add the title to it.
Its a little tedious and requires you to reupload it till you find the frame that wins then title that in a movie maker. I don't know what you use but Sony vegas Movie Maker can make MP4 and Avi and is on torrent sites. Windows Movie Maker makes WMV. So if you really want to fix the thumbnail like for "hidden anime" its possible this way.
