Genres are generalized catagories to divide up shows. Romance, drama, comedy, action, samurai, mecha, sci-fi, fantasy, racing, sports, magical girl, super senti, moe... there's an infinite number so nothing can hit all of them. Tho I'd bet somewhere out there is a show that tried to parody as many different genres as possible for a laugh........ it's probably drawn by Akira Toriyama too (now I have to go looking for this imagiary anime XD). As for what hits the most? Probably Sailor Moon. Romance, drama, action, magical girl, super senti, fantasy, comedy, fetish, eichi
Rurouni Kenshin (best anime ever, period) has almost all the genres in it, with the exception of Mech and sci-fi...oh wait, it DOES have Sci-fi Phenomenon themes lol. And it outdoes category-specific animes in those categories throughout a 100 episode-or-so run. I compare all anime to Rurouni Kenshin, it even has historical and religious themes other anime doesn't. Sailor Moon too has almost all genres and Excel Saga parodies every genre as one of its themes.
Hmm...this is pretty tough to pick just one, but I'll try:
Romance/Comedy: Ouran High School Host Club; Romance/Drama: tie between NANA and Bokura ga Ita (though I give NANA the edge); Mecha: Eureka Seven (haven't seen Code Geass, so don't chew my head off); Psychological Thriller: Death Note; Fantasy/Adv: Claymore; Action/Adv: One Piece (I would list D. Gray-Man right behind); Sports: Prince of Tennis; Romance/Supernatural: Vampire Knight; Martial Arts/Comdey: HSD Kenichi
What anime is the best? Choose a kind with every Janra
I can't think of any anime with every janra, but im sure u can! ^^ but my favorite anime would be gakuen-alice , it has the most janra i know
