Since 2009 specials are already being shot with David Tennant, what's going on with the regeneration?
New explanation on how he can regenerate back into his old self? A redo of time to eleminate the regeneration? Two Whos at once?
My guess is that it will still be David Tennant. Because his daughter regenerated as herself that he will, too. The cause is a bit of a mystery. Possibly because he was human for a while in Season 3? We'll find out (but not soon enough for me! :)
When will the 2009 specials air? Christmas is the usual time for 1 episode, but in the US, we don't get any more than that and usually several months afterwards. Thanks!
maybe they will have the timeline reset, kind of like in the last episode of last season only everyone gets set back but donna dies to fix everything. cause they keep hinting to donna dieing, and maybe they have her reset everything. like they have the new doctor picked out, but its a one time cameo for now.
I wouldn't have thought of it. These guys must have very active imaginations. Do you ever look at the OutpostGallifrey forum? A lot of people there seem to think technobabble replaced plot. I thought it was a wild ride, but it did kind of skip over some things.
A big reason for the tie-ups comes from RT Davies passing the torch as head writer. I'm assuming he wanted to give Stephen Moffett (The Empty Child, Empire of The Wolf) a clean slate to start from. And to justify Rose and Doc2 being returned to parallel world, Rose was listed as dead at Canary Warf at the close of Se2, on top of running Torchwood in her dimension. Besides, can you imagine a world with two DT docs in it? Scripting nightmare, Journey's End was hard enough (watch the confidential ep. to learn more). It's not perfect, but Davies did the best he could for his good friend Stephen to have a fresh start. Can't wait for Se 5!
Sorry, it wasn't titled Empire of the Wolf but "Tooth and Claw", among others that Stephen Moffett had written. If they are any indicator, then Se 5 should be very spooky indeed! Long live the last child of Gallifray (literally & figuratively, as it were)!

Do we have a spoilers thing to hide comments?
SPOILER ALERT ---- SPOILER ALERT It is David Tennant - Saw it on BBC
SPOILER ALERT Yeah, cute trick. And then he just dumps Rose off with number 2. Now does this count as a regeneration or not?
i'm going to say no it doesn't, but it was still a cool way to do it

Is Jenny a child of Gallifrey too?
