- Description
- A Brown University team was able to produce 3D X-rays showing the internal skeletal movement of a short-tailed fruit bat as it began its ascent. The biceps and triceps tendons of the bat are stretched and store energy as the it flies vertically, in much the same way a stretched elastic band releases energy when allowed to relax.
