These bombings against civilians, and infrastructure like airports and bridges, came after fighters in Gaza and South Lebanon recently captured Israeli soldiers, in response to several kidnappings of civilians in Gaza by Israel. Israel used retaliatory raids by militants as a pretext for new invasions of Lebanon and Gaza. They had already launched new attacks into Gaza killing hundreds and had strangled the elected Palestinian government in the territories occupied by the Israeli military.
This brutal occupation is funded with US tax dollars. Israel was granted an expedited shipment of “precision laser guided bombs.” These same kinds of weapons have so far destroyed aid convoys, airports, apartment buildings, and entire families in Gaza and Lebanon.
