- This is a response to CALLING ALL ATHEISTS (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2CdnJWbR04). This is a rough transcript: Hi, CHAD. Your video is kind of rambling, so Im going to take it bit by bit. Right off the top, Ive been around the web, associated with many atheists both on and offline, listened to their arguments with both theists and each other. Your premise is complete bullshit. This wont be the last time I say this, but please, stop speaking for atheists. Excellent observation. OK...thanks for FINALLY spitting that out. You are mostly correct, and I believe its the only time in this video that this is true, so I feel its worth pointing out. The atheist would be foolish to claim with absolute certainty that there were no birds flying around in the Grand Canyon. What would not be foolish is if the atheist said not that I can see. This is where your argument breaks down completely and actually turns on you. See, unless you SEE a bird, you cant claim with any certainty that there is one. It would be equally foolish, if not moreso, to claim that there was a bird. Thats the problem. Christians and other theists arent just asking questions like Do you think theres a god? Theyre claiming, some of them with absolute certainty, that there is a god. That there is a bird in the garage (or a dragon), that there is a bird in the Grand Canyon, that there is a teapot orbiting the sun. And theyre doing it all without ANY evidence whatsoever. So yes, CHAD, it is perfectly reasonable for the atheist to respond to your inane, long-winded, fundamentally flawed analogy with, as far as I can see there are no birds. No it isnt, stop speaking for atheists. Once again. You are NOT the final arbiter of what atheism is, or what atheism means. You should educate yourself on the positions of strong and weak atheists, and then perhaps you can begin to make intelligent arguments against atheism. Rule number one in a debate is to understand your opponents position. What you have done here is construct a strawman of your ignorant, arrogant
