- Description
- 10am on a Saturday outside the cinema I used to play Lovely old songs to the generation that can understand The value of life, true romance I've even seen people start to dance With a grin on their face at the way I'd brighten up the place Now the cinema foyer has a flat TV And they turn it up full once they've spotted me Because they're too young to understand Sometimes it's good to lend a helping hand They don't care about the folks outside It's bums on seats that keeps 'em satisfied And they're telling me to move on I remember the queue that sang Jingle Bells while I played my whistle That's a tale to tell but that all happened years ago, sweet memories People took photos, smiled and waved Some would say I was very brave But it's time too say goodbye to those happier days
