- Description
- Testing the rear Rose joint on an Audi TT. A seized rose joint will lead to failure of the control arm and complete loss of suspension coherence. This failure led to a recall on some VIN's of the AudiTT, but NOT ALL. There have been several documented cased of the identical failure on NON-RECALLED TT's. It is in your best interested to check the integrity of this joint. Newer model TTs switch from a Rose joint that can seize to a rubber bush that cannot. Of course, the rubber bush is more compliant than a Rose joint, so some stiffness is lost by pursueing this route.
