Dennis Hayden began his life’s journey on April 7, 1952. Born into a large family in Girard , Kansas, Dennis was one of five brothers along with one sister. At an early age, living in Kansas, out in the middle of nowhere, Dennis acquired his sense of drive and motivation by having to work hard on the family’s hog & soybean farm. As Dennis grew older, his summers off from high school consisted of working the wheat harvest, along with his regular farm chores at home. When the work was done at the end of the day, Dennis practiced and played football. Upon high school graduation in 1970, Dennis’ motivation, drive, and skill earned him the title of #1 tackle in the entire state of Kansas; which, also earned him 8 scholarship offers. Dennis chose and attended Fort Scott Junior College. After attending college, young 19 year old Dennis Hayden quickly discovered that college took an abundance of patience and restraint. Working hard all of his life, Dennis found that he couldn’t set aside his abundance of physical energy, so he replaced college with a job in construction. Although, Dennis found a release for his high energy level, his desire to be an actor still raged within him, stemming from childhood. While Dennis held steadfast to his construction job, it took Dennis’ close friend to persuade him to make the move to California; but, life wasn’t yet any easier for Dennis Hayden. Dennis found work as a carpenter while building sets at the Metropolitan Theater as a volunteer. It was here at the Met Theater, from a set decorator, which also doubled as the assistant director, named Pat McFadden, in a play called, ”All the Same“, that Dennis got his first acting role. For twelve years, Dennis’ acting career remained at the Met. Dennis’ big break came when he portrayed a drunk for Shick Shadle Alcoholic commercial for the State of Texas. Since then, Dennis has done at least 50 national TV commercials, along with many movies such as playing Eddie in “Die Hard” starring Bruce Willis & playing Shaker in “ACTION JACKSON” starring Carl Weathers. Dennis’ acting career continued in such movies as “Another 48 Hours” with Nick Nolte & “One Man Army”. Today, Dennis has entered his 3rd decade of his acting career & this leads to more tells in the life of Dennis Hayden.
