It was especially apt and touching that it was so this morning, as today's our 13th anniversary, and we honeymooned in the UP of Michigan, where it was like this EVERY morning.« less

I was surprised to see the protest going today down at Sacred Heart at Granville & Sheridan in Chicago's far northside Edgewater community, and even more surprised when this serendipitously named bus ... more » I was surprised to see the protest going today down at Sacred Heart at Granville & Sheridan in Chicago's far northside Edgewater community, and even more surprised when this serendipitously named bus ("Free Enterprise") that it revealed a number of the students from the school gleefully hamming it up with the rat, taking pictures and video, etc. Gotta love America- the labor folks have the freedom of speech to put the rat up, and the students have the freedom of speech to mug for the camera with it!« less

This particular alley, just off Lake Michigan, always has interesting air currents. This day, it also had a lot of loose trash from Memorial Day Weekend parties.
