Thanks for the info on the Burma China Burma commanding Black troops but he never talked about te did in that war and I was too young to understand and ask about it. I am trying to understand what he did over there now that I'm grown. He amd my mother are both gone so it is up to me to find out on my own.

Posted 15 years agoWar. What is it good for? Giving old nerds like me something to obsess over! I'm a general history buff, but World War II really gets me talking. It's the only war I can think of that's only two shades of gray away from black and white-- good versus evil. And if that's not worth studying, I don't know what is.

Ooops, my other message got jumbled. My father commanded troops in Burma, Black troops, they were used just as they were used to build the Alaskan Highway!! I have been trying to find out more about his experience as both my parents are dead now. Thanks for the movies.
