"If I were God, I would forgive the entire world"
This is amazing!!!! I am completely stroken! How come that you have set up a "Profile-picture" here on Your Side, that shows one of the absolutely most famous snap-shots from the enormous, everlasting Ingmar Bergman directed Film "Persona" - My own very favourite Film - with the two famous Swedish actresses Liv Ullman and Bibi Andersson!! How come!!!??? That movie is so outstanding, it has to be seen, no words are enough to describe it! Tell me, will Ya! - Tobbe!
Posted 16 years agoI love art as an expression of our divinity and as an extension of that quintessence lying beyond this veil of tears. Imagination, fantasy, ideas. Art - the destroyer of worlds and the creator of the Universe. Ha, corny.
Watching, listening, thinking, arguing, biking, cooking, eating, making sweet, sweet love. I've a fondness for classic Hollywood films from the 30s and 40s. I could listen to the repartee in "His Girl Friday", "The Thin Man", "Dinner at Eight"...
..."The Awful Truth", "The Lady Eve", "My Man Godfrey", "Casablanca", "All About Eve", "The Big Sleep" and so forth, forever. Musicals sans song and dance. They're just as carefree and magical, but can possess a profound commentary on humanity.
Many, some are: "L'Argent", "Fanny and Alexander", "Deadman", "La Jetee", "All About Eve", "Vertigo", "Meanstreets", "Playtime", "Amarcord", "The Passenger", "Red Shoes", "The Pornographers", "Late Spring", "Wild Bunch", "Ran", "Hannah & Her Sisters"
Ranging from Schubert and Reich to Ellington and Cecil Taylor to King Crimson and Velvet Underground to Swans, Dirty Three, Dinosaur Jr. Nirvana, The Fall, Pixies, Boards of Canada, Dillinger Escape Plan....
