words for all---friend=amigo=?

With everyone on VEOH being from around the world and me only knowing english and a few words from other languages, I want to learn to speak to others from other places without it having to be in english only..................... anyone else?

Christmas is Karácsony in Hungarian, where Santa comes on Dec 5th not xmas eve.....Have a merry and safe one all :)

In german it is : Frohe Weihnachten. And I will wish you all a very nice Christmas : )

u got it Sboy, it is the feast day for st. Nick, and the Hungarians think of him as Santa, hence pressies on the the 5th of Dec, I like it better than the 24th/25 since it broke up the cost of xmas a little. Not a bible basher myself but I liked the fact that xmas was about the birth of Jesus, Santa/St Nick was kept separate.

A very late reply.. but U can use it for next year :-) "Merry Christmas !" in French is: "Joyeux Noël !"
