strangely enough i started off with 2 animes, it was Pokemon, Dragon Ball! blame eary morning children's television, lol

was dragon ball z i liked it but it didnt make me wanna "search for more" naruto did. so i guess if we r being technical yea DBZ was the first anime i watched but wasnt the anime that got me into all the other animes i watch now. i watched naruto and thought "hey if i like this mayb theres more anime out there i might like might as well check and see!!"(just so u know the answer to ur question is DBZ)
