Berserk (finale, ep 25) * I can't say much without spoiling, but if you've seen it, you know its one of the craziest twists in any anime, has an epic soundtrack for one episode, and had you on the edge of your seat. Nothing was predictable and all bets were off in that episode, and afterwards you have to find the manga lol

Cowboy Bebop (Ballad of Fallen angels, ep 5)* Almost every episode of CB is a classic, however this one stands out to me. The mood, action, scenes, costumes, everything in this episode feels like a movie. It plays like a finale and brings the series to a deeper level while not outshining it, the sign of a truly great episode and great series. Finally, there were several epic songs introduced in this one episode alone!

Rurouni Kenshin (The man chosen for victory, ep 60) * the entire series and its background, which is one of the best in anime, builds up to this one battle between Kenshin and Shishio and here it climaxes with twists, amazing special moves, and a cut-scene style not used in the series, or, hardly any series really. Its like Tarantino came in and lent a hand. It has to me one of the greatest death scenes I've ever seen, completely awesome burned in my mind forever. It was so good, I named myself after it lol

AIR TV (Sea, ep 11)* Just thinking about it makes me a little misty haha its one of the only animes to have a real-life and very difficult situation- a custody battle. On top of that, it has themes about finding out what a mother really is, making up for lost time and mistakes, forgiveness, and desperation, leading up to the epic "Momma!" scene which makes grown men cry lol anyone with family will be touched or deeply moved. Did I mention it plays the music box of sadness throughout?

Naruto (The demon in the snow, ep 19)* It seems like everything that makes Naruto the #1 anime and manga was in this one episode and has some great story devices we've seen in past manga but presented in a fresh way. Zabuza's unexpected tears, his final actions and remorse, and Haku saying so much although he was dead make this episode, and they shine as two memorable characters who've earned their place in anime history. The score is amazing, it personifies many epic moments perfectly.

I bought the DVD for Beserk it was that good for me. Sadly, I wanted the continuation in anime format. For die hard fans and those who are interested int he continuation of this fantastic tale youll have to read the manga.
