i think it's a reallly interesting anime.I loved the violence but the story itself was amazing.it was so realistic...the childhood traumas and unrequited love..it made the story so much more interesting.but it really was a sad anime,really really sad.I was mostly sad about how nana didn't get to stay w/ her father in the end, and she loved him so much...

yup totally agree. a really pretty sad anime, but still interesting, and at the end it makes u think. i never liked anything with violence though, but this anime captured ma attention. (is still sad about lucy)

I personally loved this anime for the story and emotions that they put into the characters. One of the things that made me love it so much was how they showed that life isn't all pretty and happy, it sometimes is terrible and monstrous, something most animes don't seem to show these days. The characters were all really believable too. It was just an awesome show and if you can stomach the brutality of it, easily an amazing watch.

Its one of those shows that really makes you appreciate anime. I mean most of what was done was horrible yet fasinating. You could never give as good a performace with regular actors or even american shows for that matter, as they would have cleaned up the nudity and blood. It has a way of making you think such a thing could happen, and that is what makes it such a great story.... in my opinion

yeah, i agree with both of u, this anime makes one feel like u were right there watching it all and experiencing it all. not like other animes that hide the wounds with the clothes all bloody or something like it. they should really make more animes like this one, and i really loved the combination of emotions.

i'll keep it short cuz i'm lazy :) Elfen Lied, the anime, saw it a long time ago and still remember it as a masterpiece, action was nice, very emotional, story rolled out nicely without getting slow but had a unsatisfying ending (most likely due to the budget >.<) Elfen Lied, The Manga, Very interesting and doesn't cut out any of the story, the ending was bittersweet but was a very nice goodbye to the series, i reccomend this to both horror fans and those who love bitter sweet stories :D
